Know exactly what you're breathing. And where it came from.
Hyper-local air quality, species-level pollen, wildfire smoke and live NOAA radar in one app. Every reading is labeled Measured, Combined or Estimated, so you always know how much to trust it.
No paywall on data No sign-up or profile English & Spanish
Thirty-odd map and radar layers, fifteen days of forecast and history on a single timeline, NOAA radar redrawn every two minutes — and not one account, email address or profile, on any of it.
Every reading carries its source.
A regulatory monitor two blocks away and a continent-scale model are very different things, and most apps present them identically. AirScope labels all three cases on the card itself, so a number you act on is never a number you have to guess about.
A real sensor, near you
Read straight off an EPA-grade ground station or reference monitor. The highest confidence available.
EPA AirNow · state networks · PurpleAirSensors plus modeling
Ground measurements blended with satellite sensing and atmospheric modeling to fill the gaps between stations.
Copernicus CAMS · GOES · ground blendModeled for your area
Derived from remote sensing, historical data and predictive modeling where no nearby sensor exists. Useful, and clearly flagged.
Global model coverage · no local station
Provenance sheet · one tap from any reading
Tap the label. Read the methodology.
Every provenance label opens a plain-language account of how that number was produced: what instruments and models were involved, and where the method stops being reliable.
We name the limits of a modeled estimate on the same screen that shows it. A modeled number can miss a localized pollen bloom or a sudden weather shift, and you should know that before you plan a run around it.
Real-time AQI, and the pollutants behind it
A Good-to-Hazardous category, not just a color, plus the full breakdown behind the number: PM2.5, PM10, ozone, NO2, SO2, CO and ammonia, each charted hour by hour.
The most accurate source available, per location
AirScope blends EPA-grade ground stations, satellite sensing and atmospheric modeling, then picks whichever is most accurate for the exact spot you asked about. The card tells you which one it used.
Hourly graphs are the point of the breakdown: they show the clean window inside a bad day, instead of writing the whole day off.
- 0–50Good
- 51–100Moderate
- 101–150Unhealthy for sensitive groups
- 151–200Unhealthy
- 201–300Very unhealthy
- 301+Hazardous
Hourly pollutant forecasts · every parameter charted
Pollen, down to the species
Daily counts and five-day forecasts for tree, grass, weed and ragweed pollen plus mold spores, with the predominant species named.
Counts in grains/m³ · species named per allergen
Elm, not "trees"
Knowing today is elm rather than oak, or chenopods rather than ragweed, is the difference between guessing at your triggers and learning them. AirScope names the predominant species behind every count.
Counts are given in grains per cubic meter against a plain-language severity band, not an opaque 1–10 score. Mold spores get their own count and their own species list, because they behave nothing like pollen.
What today's air means for your condition
Daily risk levels with plain-language guidance, and a private diary that charts your symptoms against the air you were actually breathing.
Raw numbers, turned into a decision
An AQI of 75 means something different to someone with COPD than it does to a runner. The health indices do that translation, then say what to do about it in a sentence.
Log how you feel each day and the symptom diary charts your entries against real pollen and pollution levels over 7, 30 or 90 days, until your own triggers show up in the data. Those entries never leave the device.
Indices for asthma · COPD · sinus headache · migraine · dust & dander · cold & flu · arthritis · running · biking · hiking · dog walking · outdoor comfort

Watch the smoke before it reaches you
Animated NOAA forecasts of near-surface smoke, vertically integrated smoke and surface visibility, plus satellite fire detections. Track a plume for hours before the haze arrives at your door.
Fire detections & radiative power
Satellite hotspots with fire radiative power, so you see not just where a fire is but how hard it is burning. Tap any detection for a detail card.
Surface smoke vs. the column
Near-surface smoke is what you actually breathe. Vertically integrated smoke is the whole column overhead. AirScope forecasts both, separately.
Surface visibility, in miles
The most honest single number for how bad the haze is going to get where you live.
Near-surface smoke · NOAA HRRR, animated
Thirty layers. Fifteen days. Two-minute radar.
High-resolution interactive maps of everything AirScope tracks. Scrub any layer across ten days of history and five days of forecast, and tap a storm cell, a fire or a weather alert for an instant detail card.
Fifteen days on one timeline
Scrub or play any layer across ten days of history and a five-day forecast. Watch a smoke plume arrive, a pollen bloom build or a storm cross the state, at whatever speed you want to read it.
The handle sits on today. Everything behind it already happened, everything ahead of it is forecast, and the map says which is which. Radar redraws every two minutes, so the last frame of history is never more than two minutes old.

Real NOAA data, not a decorative overlay
AirScope carries the full NOAA MRMS radar suite: base and composite reflectivity, precipitation type and echo tops, refreshed every two minutes and fully animated. Alongside it sit GOES infrared satellite imagery, global pollutant fields and the complete NWS warning, watch and advisory set for the US.
Every layer is free. There is no premium map tier.

No sign-up, no login, no profile. AirScope has never asked for an email address and never will. Your symptom diary and health data stay on your device: the app is built to inform you, not to profile you. If you subscribe, Restore Purchases brings the subscription back on a new device without an account.
No paywall on data
